Trip to Bayreuth

You can easily reach Bayreuth by plane, train or by car.

By plane

Bayreuth is easily accessible from the following three international airports.

Frankfurt Airport/ Flughafen Frankfurt

Trains depart from Frankfurt Airport to Bayreuth via Nuremberg at regular intervals. However, well scheduled trains only operate approximately every two hours, with a journey time of about 3.5 hrs.

Nuremberg Airport/ Flughafen N�rnberg

Take the subway from Nuremberg Airport to the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof); from there trains leave for Bayreuth at approximately every hour.

Franz-Josef-Strauss Airport Munich/ Flughafen M�nchen

Take the train from Munich, via Nuremberg to Bayreuth. In Nuremberg, trains must be changed.

By train

Regional express trains from Nuremberg to Bayreuth operate at approximately every hour. The current railway timetable can be found at Deutsche Bahn AG.

By car

Travelling on the motorway A9 (Berlin-M�nchen), take the exit "Bayreuth S�d" und follow the signs to the university.
