Financial Support for Young Scientists

Applications for the Young Scientist Award by young scientists attending the 2^nd International School on Aperiodic Crystals cannot be accepted any more.

Financial support for young scientists was made possible by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr). The Young Scientist Award consists of a financial contribution towards the costs of travel and subsistence. Eligible are graduate students, post-graduate students and post-doctoral fellows with a maximum age of 30 (or a maximum age of up to 35 in exceptional circumstances such as e.g. parental leave).

Rules and Requirements

The application for a Young Scientist Award should include the following items:

1. An email or letter stating that you apply for the Young Scientist Award, also including your age.

2. A letter of support by your supervisor.

3. Completed registration process for the School.

4. Your application will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis.

If awarded and upon accepting a Young Scientist Award you must create an entry in the World Directory of Crystallography at http://wdc.iucr.org

All recipients of the Young Scientist Award pay a reduced registration fee of EUR 200.00.
